There are many benefits to using Chalk Couture over traditional chalk for making beautiful chalk art on chalkboards. Here are just a few of the reasons I love Chalk Couture.
- The Chalkology Paste goes on wet and dries hard to the touch. Have you ever created beautiful chalk art and then one of your kids swipes their hand all over it and it is ruined? The chalk paste is made to not rub off from a hand touching or rubbing on it.
- It is not permanent. That’s right, it won’t come off by wiping your hand or a dry paper towel over it, but it is REMOVABLE with water! If you are like me, you like to change out your decor seasonally (or more often), this is such a perk to using the removable chalk paste!
- You can use it on more than just a chalkboard. Yup- the possibilities are endless. Glass, metal, canvas, wood…Chalk Couture even makes a permanent ink that can be used on fabrics like t-shirts, towels, pillows and hats!
- The stencils are reusable. Care is simple and they last anywhere between 8-12 uses (although I have used my vintage truck transfer more than 20 times!)
- You can mix and match designs and stencils to make personalized and unique projects. I love mixing pieces of different transfers to make my own chalk art!
The products are simple to use.
Simply remove the transfer from the backing, fuzz it, lay it on the surface, apply chalk paste, squeegee the excess off and remove the transfer to reveal a PERFECT chalk art project!
It is really THAT easy! Just watch the video below.
I love mixing and matching different designs and using more advanced techniques such as blending colors and layering.
