Want to welcome friends and family, but kindly tell solicitors to bugger off? You can make this beautiful DIY No Soliciting sign in minutes while adding a lovely decoration to your front porch.
I love when a DIY project serves both a functional and decorative purpose. This DIY no soliciting sign definitely fits the bill with a beautiful floral arrangement and a funny message.
First, let’s start with what you need to make this. I used Chalk Couture to add the words to the black, half flower bucket.
If you don’t know about Chalk Couture, START HERE. Chalk Couture makes reusable stencils (called transfers). They also make removable chalk paste, permanent ink, surfaces and accessories to make up-scale DIY home decor.

How to Make a DIY No Soliciting Sign
Once you have your surface (I used a half-flower bucket, but you can use any kind of sign), start by fuzzing the transfer. I use THIS fuzzing cloth. Fuzzing is good for the first few times you use the transfer to tone down the stickiness. These are made to be used over and over, so they are really sticky when you first use them!
Simply place the transfer on the surface and make sure it is smoothed out (no bumps in the stencil). Apply the chalk paste with a squeegee and then peel to reveal the design.

It is truly that simple! Place some floral foam in the bottom of the bucket and insert the flowers.
One of the things I love about this particular transfer is the variety of sayings that can be paired with the “No Soliciting” message. I chose to use “Unless you’re selling cookies!”, but any of these would look GREAT!
