Chances are, you found this post because you heard about Chalk Couture.  Maybe you were even invited to a Chalk Couture class!  I’m going to tell you all about attending a Chalk Couture class and the benefits to finding a class near you.

First of all, I joined Chalk Couture over the summer.  I absolutely fell in love with this revolutionary DIY phenomenon!  Chalk Couture makes silk screen transfers, removable chalk paste and permanent ink.  They also make a wide variety of  surfaces and accessories to create your own DIY creations.  Chalk Couture products are so easy to work with and attending a Chalk couture class is perfect for a beginner.

What to Expect

If you attend a Chalk Couture class, you should expect to be introduced to the products.  You will learn how to use the transfers, proper care for removing and cleaning them as well as how to use the squeegees to apply the paste and ink.  Your Chalk Couture Independent Designer may also show you a few different surfaces that you can use the products on such as glass or fabric.

If you are attending a demonstration class, the Chalk Couture Independent Designer will demonstrate how to use the products.  Kind of like this, but in person instead of online.  You will have an opportunity to ask questions and see all of the products available.

You might have the opportunity to attend a make-and-take or sip-and-chalk class.  These kind of classes, you will actually work with the products yourself after a short instruction.  These classes are great because you get to go home with a finished product.

I love teaching the make-and-take classes because people are always so happy when they complete a project.  It is such a fun way to spend a couple of hours with friends.  These kind of classes are usually held in someone’s home, but can also be hosted at a restaurant, cafe, craft room, library, civic center or even a church. Guests will pay a set price and leave with their own creation.

• Instructional introduction to the products.  Someone will teach you how to use and take care of the products.

• HAVE FUN!  Getting together with friends or family is a fun way to spend an afternoon or evening.  Learn a new DIY technique and make a masterpiece while having fun!
