Hello there! I bet you have heard of Chalk Couture. If not START HERE. Chalk Couture recently released their newest catalog which has their new Chalk Stories Collection. So what is Chalk Stories? It is a collection of transfers that coordinate together. You can mix and match all the transfers within a story to have cohesive and coordinated decor.
What a great idea, right?
There are currently three collections of Chalk Stories: The Bee’s Knees Collection, The Corner Market Collection and The Home Grown Collection.
Check out this video to see how I made it!
Bee’s Knees Collection
Let’s take a look at the Bee’s Knees Collection!
This particular project included all three transfers in the collection. The thing that is great about the collections, is that you can combine them, or they can stand alone. Either way, they are a lovely addition to your home decor.
Corner Market Collection
The Corner Market Collection is so popular and versatile, it made the cover of the Spring/Summer Catalog! The Corner Market Collection is the perfect collection for anyone who loves farmhouse style! I absolutely love the four transfers that are in this collection. Let’s take a look!
One of the things I love about this collection is the amount of pieces in the different transfers. You can use the scale on its own, ot just the word “Groceries”. There are so many options.
Home Grown Collection
Finally, here is the Home Grown Collection! I love this collection of the Chalk Stories so much, that I made my project using one of the transfers from this collection. The Home Grown Collection includes three transfers, but there is another transfer from the Spring catalog that fits PERFECTLY with this collection. The Fresh Herbs transfer is simply lovely combined with the Home Grown collection!
This collection is perfect for a garden lover! How pretty would these be in a kitchen or a sunroom? I absolutely love the combination of the pitcher and the fresh herbs (even though the fresh herbs transfer is not technically part of the Home Grown Chalk Stories Collection).
To make this, I used around piece of wood that I found at Home Depot. These are sold to be part of a lazy susan. I painted the board with chalkboard spray paint, then sealed it and waxed it before chalking on it (check this out for more details). If you watch the video above, you can see this board actually had another design on it from Christmas that I easily wiped off and then replaced with this design! Finally, I added two handles to make it a serving tray!
