Do you go all out for Halloween? I feel like there are “Halloween people” and “not-so-much” Halloween people. If you pass by a house owned by Halloween people, expect to have the bejesus scared out of ya! Then there are the people who just decorate for fall and place a jack-o-lantern on the front porch and call it Halloween (we fit into that category). Our kids are still little and not into scary Halloween stuff…yet. So we keep it simple and not-so-scary. This year I made a DIY Halloween Sign which is perfect for families with little kids!
Have you seen the TV show Modern Family? One of the families is super into Halloween. I see us doing that later when our kids get older. I truly love driving by the houses that go all out. There was a house in our old neighborhood in Arlington, VA that our kids used to love driving by. It was covered in Halloween decorations- even the roof! They called it the smooky smooky house (I think they meant spooky). ♥

Anyway- back to the reason you clicked on this link…my Halloween sign! I was so excited when I saw this transfer in the Chalk Couture catalog over the summer. It is not scary at all, so great for little kids and it is family-friendly!
If you have never heard of Chalk Couture- click here to learn more.
Basically, you place the transfer on a surface (just about any surface), use a squeegee to apply chalk paste, remove the transfer and you have a DIY Halloween Sign in minutes!! What to actually SEE how to make it? Click here to watch me make this sign LIVE in my VIP Facebook group!
For this particular project, I use this Charming Witch transfer. I used four different colors of Chalk Paste. The cool thing about Chalk Couture, is you can completely customize any project by using different colors, surfaces or just using a portion of a transfer! The options are limitless!
