Happy Fall! Today I am sharing a simple tutorial for making this fabulous Fall sign. If you are looking for an easy Fall sign idea, I’ve got you covered.
I used Chalk Couture to make this giant chalkboard sign. Have you heard of Chalk Couture? If not- START HERE. If you have, then you probably know they make beautiful stencils and removable chalk paste which is what I used to make this sign. I love that I can wipe this design off and change it out for Christmas!

Like I mentioned, this sign is really easy to make. I actually made this live over on Facebook the other day. You can check out that video HERE.
Let’s start with what you need.
List of Supplies
One of the things I love about this sign and using these products, is that you can truly make this your own by using the colors you want. For this project, I stuck with fall colors like Shimmer Harvest, Shimmer Pumpkin and White, but the sky is the limit!
Start by cutting the transfer at the cut lines. This will make working with a large transfer so much easier! There are little targets that you can chalk in and then march up with the next piece to make sure it is lined up perfectly.
Once the transfer is cut into the three pieces, you will want to fuzz the transfer. Fuzzing is basically just dulling down the stickiness for the first few uses. You will want to apply the sticky transfer to a towel (click here for a Chalk Couture fuzzing cloth). Pick the transfer up off the towel and apply it again. Repeat this a few times until there’s some fuzz on the stick side of the transfer.

Next, apply the transfer to the chalkboard and then apply the paste using a squeegee. Once you have chalked in the first section, slowly peel it up to reveal the design. Repeat these steps for the next pieces of the transfer.
Make sure to wash your transfer in cold water (washing in the sink under clean running water is best) and use a wet Chalk Couture board eraser on both sides of the transfer to ensure you have cleaned off all the paste. Finally, lay the transfer, sticky side up on a towel and wipe it with a disinfectant wipe then let it air dry before returning the backing sheet to the sticky side of the transfer.
I created this sign in less than 30 minutes and you can too!
