Happy Fall! Are you decorating for Thanksgiving? I have a great fall tiered tray idea for you today that will help you welcome the cooler weather in style!
A little backstory
When we built our new house, I wanted to delete the art niche in our entryway. It was awkward and we had a 2 year old and 4 year old at the time. We are not large-framed-art kind of people. We are more kids-art-on-the-fridge kind of people. The builder then suggested we put a large vase in the niche. I literally laughed out loud. Again, at the time, we had 2 toddler boys. A large vase at eye level would not have ended well.
What we decided to do instead, is change the size of the niche to accommodate a 3-drawer, vintage marble top dresser. I bought the dresser at an auction and refinished it. You can read about that HERE.
I was really excited about this change because now I have a perfect display area right in the entryway to our house.

Fall Tiered Tray Idea
Today, I want to focus on my fall tiered tray. I tend to decorate our tiered tray seasonally, so I’m constantly changing out the little objects in and around the tray. This fall tiered tray includes some adorable pumpkins, wooden leaves, mini houses, greenery and “egg corns”.
Let’s take a closer look, shall we? First, I wanted to display the cute little wooden houses which I used a buffalo check in a light green. I also added some fall phrases “Incredibly Blessed” and “Very Thankful”. These were simple to make using Chalk Couture stencils. Want to see exactly how I made these? Click here.
I also used Chalk Couture to create the gold and white leaves. These wooden autumn cutouts are super cute to add to your fall decor. You can decorate both sides and place them in the middle of your dining room table to create a stunning tablescape!
Twine Pumpkins
One of my FAVORITE items on this fall tiered tray is my twine pumpkins. If you are looking for a simple DIY- THIS IS IT! I bought twine balls from the store, added a fake leaf and a wine cork in the top and viola! That is it! No glue, no paint, no cutting…seriously, the simplest DIY you can do this fall!
To add a little filler in my fall tiered tray, I also added some faux boxwood balls, foam pumpkins and my “egg corns”. I made acorns out of plastic Easter eggs. Check out how it did that HERE.
