Happy Fall! If you are looking for a non-traditional fall color pallet, then look no further! I’m going to show you how to create a glamorous look using gold and eucalyptus fall decor.
I love using colors other than orange, yellow and brown for Fall. Don’t get me wrong- I still love traditional fall colors, but sometimes you just need to try something new. Am I right?
This year, I wanted to go more elegant and add in a little metallic. Also, did I mention my obsession with those beautiful light green cinderella pumpkins? For the past few years, I keep telling my husband that I NEED a bigger pumpkin budget so I can fill our front porch with green and white pumpkins!
Now you know my inspiration, so let’s get into how I made this gold and eucalyptus sign.
First of all, I used Chalk Couture to create this beautiful fall piece. If you don’t know about Chalk Couture- START HERE.

Besides the transfers and chalk paste, I also used gold rub-n-buff, a little foam pumpkin and a wooden embroidery hoop.
Here’s a quick video showing exactly how I made this.
First, I used the gold rub-n-buff on the embroidery hoop and the little foam pumpkin to make them gold. If you have not tried using rub-n-buff it is awesome! It is a wax product and it is permanent. I love using it for craft projects!
Next, I layered the pumpkin transfers using EUCALYPTUS and DUNE chalk paste. I used two different pumpkin transfers- both can be found HERE. I used THIS autumn stencil to create the word “gratitude” on the sign.
Finally, I added the the gold embroidery hoop, some sprigs of eucalyptus and the gold pumpkin to the top of the round sign. I simply attached everything with hot glue…easy peasy!
The eucalyptus and gold look great together on the white surface. It truly looks very glamorous! What do you think of gold and eucalyptus for fall?
