Chances are you found this post because you have tried and tried to get Fastpasses for Slinky Dog Dash in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I get it- that’s the same predicament we were in. As we were planning our Disney vacation, my husband was determined to get a Slinky Dog Fastpass for each of us. At 7am Eastern, exactly 60 days out from our visit, he logged into My Disney Experience only to see that there were no Fastpasses available for Slinky Dog Dash. If we couldn’t get them 60 days out, how was anyone expected to get those Fastpasses?

We decided to come up with a plan and head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on our first day in Orlando. We’d get there at rope drop and b-line it to Slinky Dog Dash…and wait in line. You see, our boys (ages 5 and 3) ONLY want to ride Slinky Dog Dash. A few of their favorite YouTube stars (Ryan of Ryan Toys Review and The Tim Tracker) were at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a sneak peek of Toy Story Land, so our boys have seen how cool the dog-shaped roller coaster looks. Since this was on the top of their list, we felt terrible that we couldn’t get them a slinky dog fastpass.

Then my husband found an amazing secret. Well, it’s not really a secret as it is on Disney’s website…but this little trick is not promoted at all, and this is the first we heard about it.
Early Morning Magic At Toy Story Land
Certain Mondays and Wednesdays, you can get into Toy Story Land, ride all the rides (Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers and Toy Story Mania), meet the characters (Buzz, Woody and Jesse) AND have breakfast at Woody’s Lunchbox. The limited-access pass gets you in at 7:30 AM and breakfast is served until 10AM. You must have a ticket to the park in addition to the ticket for the Early Morning Magic. It is kinda like extra magic hours, but you only have access to Toy Story Land AND it includes breakfast. Read my FULL REVIEW of Early Morning Magic HERE.
When my husband found this awesome deal, I told him to book it! We gave up a character breakfast to do the Early Morning Magic instead. Since this was the main priority for our kids, it made sense to swap out a more expensive meal to have the opportunity to ride the one ride our kids REALLY wanted to ride. The fact that we get into the park an hour and a half before it opens, get to meet the characters and have breakfast is just a plus!

So if you are having a hard time snagging a Slinky Dog Fastpass, look into the Early Morning Magic at Toy Story Land. Make sure you don’t have a late night planned the night before. We had originally planned the Early Morning Magic for Wednesday morning but realized that we have tickets for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party the night before, so we quickly moved the reservation to Monday.
Get Tickets to Early Morning Magic
So how do you get tickets to Early Morning Magic at Toy Story Land? You can go online or call (407) 827-7350. Tickets are sold just like a dining reservation. Remember, you must have a ticket to the park to be able to purchase the Early Morning Magic ticket.
