Welcome! Today I’m sharing a fabulous cookie recipe with you all. These snickerdoodle cookies are the softest and chewiest. EVER. This recipe is so simple I even thought about enlisting the help of my three year-old to assist me, but alas, I came to my senses and just gave him play dough to occupy his time instead!
What You Need
1/2 Cup of Butter
1/4 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1 Egg
1 Package of Cream Cheese (8 oz)
1 Box of Butter Recipe Yellow Cake Mix
1/3 Cup of sugar
1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
How to Make Snickerdoodle Cookies
Beat butter, cream cheese, vanilla, and egg until smooth. Room temperature butter and cream cheese work best! Add the boxed cake mix and beat on low until the dry mix is incorporated. Beat on high for about 2 minutes or until light and fluffy.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Scoop out a teaspoonful of dough and roll into balls. Drop into cinnamon sugar mixture and roll until the ball is coated. Place on foil-lined cookie sheet and lightly flatten with the bottom of a glass.
Bake in pre-heated oven for 10-12 minutes.
These snickerdoodle cookies are a huge hit! My kids love them, my husband loves them, my brother loves them and my co-workers love them. Pretty much everyone who I have made these for have absolutely gobbled them up! They are cake-y and soft with a perfect amount of sugar and cinnamon.
I love giving these out at Christmas. Since the recipe is simple and the ingredients are already in my house, this snickerdoodle recipe is my go-to for quick cookies!
