Happy Holidays! Are you looking for a simple Christmas craft you can do with your kiddos? You have landed in the right place! Today I am sharing how to make this easy snowman Christmas craft using Chalk Couture.
If you don’t know about Chalk Couture, START HERE. Chalk Couture makes reusable, silk-screen stencils (called transfers). They also make removable chalk paste, permanent ink, surfaces and accessories to make up-scale DIY home decor.

For this project, I used a block of wood (6 x 13 inches). I also used this adorable snowman stencil. and chalk paste in Black Velvet and Shimmer Pumpkin.
In addition to the wood block and Chalk Couture products, you will also need a couple of craft sticks, some white paint, some holiday embellishments and a hot glue gun.

Start by painting the block of wood white. You can use white chalk paint, acrylic paint, or even watered down white chalk paste.
Next, paint the craft sticks black for the brim of the hat. For this project I used two craft sticks and stacked them to make one long stick. I used watered down black chalk paste for this part.
Time to use the stencil (transfer). Start by fuzzing the transfer, which is a fancy way of saying place it onto a towel and pick it up a few times to get a little fuzz on the sticky side. This will tone down the stickiness the first few times you use it. These transfers are made to be used over and over again, so they come very sticky. Start with the top hat and chalk that piece in with the black paste. Next, place the face of the snowman where you want it on the block of wood and use the black and shimmer pumpkin chalk paste.

Finally, chalk in the buttons in black. Now you can dress up your snowman however you’d like. For this snowman, I used a ribbon as the scarf and then added some greenery, berries and a tiny silver ornament to decorate the hat.
I also made this snowman with the same stencil and chalk paste. Grab 2 packs of these wooden shapes to make this!
