I know, I know. It is ironic that I am writing a BLOG POST about NOT blogging anymore! Y’all, this is my first blog post in SEVEN months! I can’t even begin to tell you how not-so-stressed-out I am these days. Not having to come up with content, edit pictures, or write posts….can you imagine your life without all of those? Today I am going to tell you how to stop blogging and start making money.

First of all, all the “professionals” will tell you that you need to sell something. If you are blogging, you should be selling a digital product, service or a physical product. I have heard that advice for years, but two years ago was the first time I actually took the advice.

Just to give you an idea, since 2016, I made on average $20 a month blogging through affiliate links. I took all the classes (and they are great), did all the things (promoting content on social media) and I still was not making a decent amount of money from blogging.

Start Selling a Product

Instead, I am selling Chalk Couture. Yup- it has COMPLETELY changed my life (and my online business). I am no longer trying to come up with content, writing blog posts and worry about pageviews, sessions and bounce rates. I have gotten back to the fun part of being a DIY blogger (actually doing DIY projects), but instead of writing a blog post, I am sharing pictures and videos online which is driving sales.

These days, I do Facebook lives (which I LOVE) and run my entire business online. You don’t have to keep and inventory or do home parties. You can absolutely run an exclusive online business. Want to learn more about how to turn your hobby into a business? CHECK THIS OUT
