Hello there! Welcome to the Fall cocktail series. Each week I will collaborate with a few other bloggers to bring you some of the best Fall cocktails you simply must try this season. This week, I am sharing a refreshing and light pomegranate and blueberry wine spritzer recipe.
Did you know that pomegranate season begins in September? I know pomegranates are popular at Christmas time, but they are in season right now! For this wine spritzer recipe I am not using fresh pomegranates, but a store-bought juice. In fact, I used V8 V-Fusion Pomegranate and Blueberry juice for this recipe. It has V8, so it MUST be healthy, right? It says on the can that it has a full serving of fruit and vegetables! Score!

I wanted to make a light cocktail that included some dark fall colors. This pomegranate and blueberry wine spritzer recipe sure hit the mark. The deep pinkish color with the dark blue blueberries just looks like fall!
Have you started decorating for fall? I decorated the front porch, but that’s about it. A couple of weeks again I made this DIY fall sign that includes turquoise. I have decided that I am including turquoise in my fall decor this year. I love how it pops against the orange. Oh, I also need a larger pumpkin budget this year! I want to fill our front porch with those squatty Cinderella pumpkins.
Pomegranate Blueberry Wine Spritzer Recipe
This wine spritzer recipe is super simple! Just fill a wine glass with Rose´ and add about an ounce of the V8 V-Fusion juice. I had a bag of frozen blueberries that I added as a garnish. This served two purposes. 1) It helped keep the drink cold. 2) It make it look pretty!

You don’t need expensive sparkling wine for this recipe. I prefer rose´ because I think it is less sweet than prosecco or other sparkling wines. This particular bottle was $12 at my local liquor shop. If you live in one of those states where you can buy wine in the grocery store or even Costso (I’m jealous) just grab a bottle of inexpensive sparkling wine.

I love that this is so simple to make. I have never tried a pomegranate/blueberry drink so I am very curious to try this out. It does look gorgeous and I love the idea of the frozen blueberries keeping it cold. That is such a great idea.

Since I used V8 I consider it a health drink!! Yes- I love using frozen fruit to keep drinks cold. It is a better alternative to using ice so it doesn’t water down the drink!

Allison, I just moved to NH where you can buy wine at the grocery store & I’m still getting used to it! I love this combination and your pictures are so pretty!

Oh my goodness! Is it life-changing? We moved FROM Virginia where I could buy wine at the grocery store to Maryland where I can’t. It is such an inconvenience.
